Modified starch-this is a food additive.
There are at least 13-15 types of
modified starch available. It is commonly
used as stabilizer, thickener or binder
according to www.fao.org. Perhaps, it
has something to do with the coconut
milk inside the can.

REVIEW
Ligo brand brings canned sardines to a whole new level. Canned sardines with coconut milk is a unique concept compared to majority of canned sardines in tomato sauce sold on every grocery stores. The content inside the can is very impressive. It is packed with four and a half pieces of sardines and it exceeded the advertised weight from 155g to 156g(see Picture 2). Though the coconut milk is not as rich tasting as it should be according to my taste. The spiciness is just average.
